Previously, Eugeria offered a simple door alarm linked to a chime placed inside the house. This option was very popular with caregivers who were uncomfortable with technology, as well as occupational therapists. Despite its good features and simplicity, it did not allow several doors to be linked and the perimeter covered was very limited. The caregiver could not walk around the home or even go into the garden without risking losing the alerts. These aspects being very important for the caregiver, we found that the SMPL alarm was better adapted to the needs since it allows to link several doors, as well as windows, and allows the caregiver to walk with the pager in a perimeter of 250 meters while continuing to receive the alerts. All these new options make this kit very interesting for relatives living with a senior with cognitive disorders.
